DNS Cname setup in general

In order to correctly route HTTP traffic to your mobile website the DNS settings for the mobile domain must be configured correctly. To do this, you need to add a DNS records for the mobile domain according to the most appropriate scenario in the table below.
If you want to use a so called 3rd level domain name, for example:

  • m.example.com
  • mobile.example.com
Use a CNAME record to direct traffic to lb.site.mobi
Example:
 
m.example.com CNAME lb.site.mobi TTL 3600
If you want to use a so called 2rd level domain name, for example:
  • example.mobi
  • example.info
  • example.com
Use a CNAME record to direct traffic to lb.site.mobi
Example:
 
example.mobi CNAME lb.site.mobi TTL 3600
